The chapter deals with the notion of thought experiment in modern philosophy especially in Seventeenth century. Thought experiments are both in physics and in philosophy of mind and knowledge. My aim is to show some parallelisms and some differences between these two kinds of thought experiments and their role in early modern philosophy.
