This study presents an outline of the way 33 firms in the Italian agro-food sector present themselves via the World Wide Web. Particular attention is paid, not only to translational strategies adopted, but also to what I have labelled “textual sensitivity” by which I refer to the awareness that texts on the Net should differ from print texts simply because of the difference pertaining to the medium itself.
