Some aspects of distribution, growth, reproduction and diet of conger eel (Conger conger L.) in the Adriatic Sea, based on experimental bottom trawl data, were studied. The species was mainly caught in the Central Adriatic with no preference for bottom type or depth stratum. Only females, ranging between 21 and 126 cm total length, with immature gonads, were evidenced.
