The drying behaviour and hydraulic properties of the materials forming the shallower portion of the Orvieto clay slope are illustrated within the framework of the geotechnical stratigraphy of the slope and of the geotechnical behaviour of the materials. A description of the experimental investigation is given and the results of in situ and laboratory tests are discussed with reference to implications for the modelling of seepage in the slope.

Abstract

The drying behaviour and hydraulic properties of the materials forming the shallower portion of the Orvieto clay slope are illustrated within the framework of the geotechnical stratigraphy of the slope and of the geotechnical behaviour of the materials. A description of the experimental investigation is given and the results of in situ and laboratory tests are discussed with reference to implications for the modelling of seepage in the slope.
