L'inglese australiano, aborigeno e neozelandese

This section will be dedicated to the Australian English, a language which is a result of several contaminations and hybridizations with other idiolects such as Aboriginal language – the language spoken by Australian natives – and other languages brought to Australia from European and Asiatic migrants. Starting from a brief historical introduction on the first English settlements in the Antipodes, which will illustrate how the English language of the colonizers has been modified once employed in another geographical reality far from England, the chapter will fuscous on contemporary Australian language as the result of several combination and mutual adaptations of English together with the traditionally oral Aboriginal language. Moreover the essay will point out how the contemporary Australian-English vernacular is also the result of other cultural and linguistic contacts with European and Asiatic immigrants during the last century.
