Abstract
Analysis of honey for trace elements content is necessary in food quality control as well in the monitoring of the bee environment. The Zeeman electrothermal atomic absorption method described here is suitable for the accurate determination of trace metals in honey. The proposed procedure, which incorporate a two-step wet digestion for the destruction of organic matrix might appear laborious. However, this allows to measure nine elements (Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, V,Zn) in the decomposed sample solution without need of multiple dilution, gives valid results and improves detection limits with respect to some known procedures.File in questo prodotto:
