In this paper a new PWM strategy which minimizes the output current ripple for five-phase inverters is analytically determined. The optimization procedure is applied in each switching period, therefore its validity is not restricted to sinusoidal operations. The effectiveness of the proposed PWM strategy is proved by numerical simulations and experimental tests.

Abstract

In this paper a new PWM strategy which minimizes the output current ripple for five-phase inverters is analytically determined.
