Many studies dealing with ethnographic observations in natural settings have shown the richness of musical experiences of young children in family contexts or in communities (see Ilari 2005, Kida and Adachi 2008, Young 2008). On the other hand, many studies on infant/adult interaction have showen the musical factors of the adult/infant communication (Papousek M. 1995, Trevarthen 2000, Stern 2004, Imberty 2005). This poster deals with the observation of infant/adult vocal interaction during the diaper change routine, at home and at the nursery. In our previous exploratory study we found that the vocal activity/passivity of infant during the routine of diaper change seems be affected by several adult's vocal interaction modes (Addessi 2009, Volpi & Addessi 2009). A systematic observational study has been therefore carried out with more participants, in order to verify some hypotheses concerning the correlation between the vocalisation style of the adult and the more or less passive behaviour of the child in the dyadic interaction. Furthermore we aim to observe if significant differences exist between home and nursery routines and between 3 different kinds of dyad (mother/infant, father/infant and practitioner/infant).
